Goal/Purpose

Supporting low-income and first-generation students to become civically engaged citizens. Fellows will develop leadership skills with an ethical and community-focused mindset for any career, while supporting their academic achievement.

Target Audience & Scholarship Amount

Postsecondary Sophomores or Juniors from PCCE Member Campuses who are selected and successfully compete the LEAF program will receive a $500 scholarship.

Grow Personally and Professionally

Leadership & Career Development:

  • Leadership/Professional Development.

  • Career planning/panels

  • Campus scavenger hunt for services

Mentorship Opportunities:

  • Current participants

  • VISTA Alumni

Community Service Training:

  • Learn, prepare, and create a community service plan for the following year.

  • Understand direct vs. indirect service to help foster interests and goals.

Requirements

  • 2.0 GPA or higher

  • First-gen student and/or Pell grant eligible *Preferred

  • Complete PCCE reports and ongoing reflections for impact data

  • Meet monthly with PCCE staff (virtual)
